Basketball Recap: Nemaha Central Takes a Loss

Nemaha Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-51 heartbreaker at the hands of the Holton Wildcats. The Thunder were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

Nemaha Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Holton, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Nemaha Central will be home for the holidays to greet Valley Heights on Tuesday. Valley Heights will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Nemaha Central surely won't give up without a fight. As for Holton, they will head out to square off against Perry-Lecompton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
