Basketball Recap: Fannett Metal Gets the Win

Fannett Metal hadn't done well against Southern Fulton recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Fannett Metal managed a 39-34 win over the Southern Fulton Indians. This was payback for Fannett Metal, who suffered a 55-33 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Southern Fulton still got an impressive performance from Sam Stotler, who posted 14 points and seven steals. Gaven Mellott was another key player, putting up four points and five rebounds.

The victory got Fannett Metal back to even at 1-1.

Fannett Metal wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 42-35 loss against Forbes Road on the 10th. As for Southern Fulton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-45 win against Claysburg-Kimmel on the 11th.
