Recap: Avon Park Red Devils vs. Sebring Blue Streaks
The Avon Park Red Devils suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were outmatched by Sebring at home and fell 97-56. Avon Park has not had much luck with Sebring recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
It was another big night for KJ Turner, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and five assists for Sebring. Turner is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. David Allen was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five steals.
Avon Park's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Sebring, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Avon Park will take on Haines City at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sebring won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Port Charlotte at 6:00 p.m. on January 13th. Port Charlotte is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
