Baseball Game Preview: Lawrence North Wildcats vs. Indianapolis Arsenal Technical Titans

The Lawrence North Wildcats will take on the Indianapolis Arsenal Technical Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lawrence North has four straight victories, Indianapolis Arsenal Technical has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Lawrence North's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over Ben Davis.

The result came thanks to Carter Nahre's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lawrence North is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 7-14 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Lawrence North's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Carson Maskel, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Those two hits gave Maskel a new career-high.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Indianapolis Arsenal Technical and Anderson, and Anderson kept the tradition alive. The Titans fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Indianapolis Arsenal Technical's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Lawrence North, their win bumped their record up to 11-14.

Lawrence North took their victory against Indianapolis Arsenal Technical in their previous matchup back in May of 2018 by a conclusive 24-2 score. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
