Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waverly-Shell Rock). They strolled past the North Polk Comets with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 69-50. The victory was familiar territory for the Go-Hawks who have now won three games in a row.

Waverly-Shell Rock now has a winning record of 4-3. As for North Polk, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waverly-Shell Rock will be home for the holidays to greet Caledonia at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Polk, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Carlisle at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
