Basketball Recap: Skyline Grizzlies vs. Blackfoot Broncos
Skyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Blackfoot Broncos, falling 72-50. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-50 two weeks ago.
Austin Arave continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Blackfoot, shooting 5-for-8 from downtown and almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine assists. The game was Arave's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Kasen Sorensen was another key player, going 7 for 13 en route to 20 points and seven boards.
Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Blackfoot, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Skyline has already played their next matchup (against Bonneville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Blackfoot will take on Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hillcrest is on a four-game streak of home wins, Blackfoot a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
