Basketball Recap: Sparta Takes a Loss

Sparta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 74-52 to the Delbarton Green Wave. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Green Wave are ranked 68th).

Sparta's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Delbarton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Sparta has already played their next game (against Vernon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Delbarton has also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against Regis.
