Volleyball Recap: Riverside Falls Short Against Ranked Cartersville

Riverside is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Cartersville. The Warriors fell 2-0 to the Hurricanes.

Riverside's offense was headlined by Jelise Sanders and Addesyn Dingle, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Kaitlyn Haroski and her nine assists. Finally, Nevaeh Hays kept Riverside's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Cartersville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-6 record this season.

Riverside has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against South Aiken on the 27th. As for Cartersville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against St. Vincent's on the 27th.
