Sacred Heart had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 83-22 win over the Waggener Wildcats. The Valkyries have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Sacred Heart's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amirah 'Tootie' Jordan led the charge by as she made all 6 shots she took racking up 12 points in addition to eight assists and seven steals. Jordan is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of ZaKiyah Johnson, who on her way to 17 points.

Sacred Heart smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive games.

Sacred Heart's record now sits at 27-3. As for Waggener, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
