Basketball Recap: Fairview Comes Up Short

Fairview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 56-49 to the Gadsden City Titans. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aggies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-33 two weeks ago.

Gadsden City got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Naomi Wise out in front who went 6 for 9 on her way to 17 points and six boards. Destiny Whiteside was another key player, putting up 14 points and five rebounds.

Fairview's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Gadsden City, their record now sits at 10-13.

When Fairview and Gadsden City next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Fairview will square off against Scottsboro and their three-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Gadsden City will try to stop Fort Payne's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
