Basketball Game Preview: Rock Hill Bearcats vs. Blythewood Bengals

Rock Hill is 9-1 against Blythewood since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Rock Hill Bearcats will challenge the Blythewood Bengals at 6:30 p.m. Rock Hill will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Rock Hill is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-59 win over Clover. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bearcats have posted since December 3, 2024.

Chloe Hudson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 38 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Stevenson, who put up 11 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Blythewood, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down James F. Byrnes 63-49 on Thursday.

Blythewood's win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points over those games. As for Rock Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 20-6.

Rock Hill strolled past Blythewood in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 65-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rock Hill since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
