Basketball Game Preview: Calvary Christian Warriors vs. Mitchell Mustangs

The Calvary Christian Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Mitchell Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Calvary Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

Calvary Christian can't be too worried about heading out to take on Mitchell: they just beat Wiregrass Ranch at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Calvary Christian came out on top against Wiregrass Ranch by a score of 80-73 on Saturday.

Madden Geiger went supernova for Calvary Christian, putting up 33 points. Those 33 points gave Geiger a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ethan Sabec, who posted 13 points.

Meanwhile, Mitchell unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 75-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sports Leadership & Management.

Calvary Christian pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Mitchell, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Calvary Christian ended up a good deal behind Mitchell in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, losing 71-55. Thankfully for Calvary Christian, Ben Unger (who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
