Softball Recap: St. Anthony's Extends Home Winning Streak to 21

St. Anthony entered their tilt with Archbishop Molloy on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Stanners. The Friars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Stanners, too.

Melissa Gordon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, St. Anthony's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Juli Murillo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
