Ellington came tearing into Tuesday's contest with 15 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the South Iron Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Friday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-11, 17-25, 25-22.

Bella Pogue paced Ellington's offense, picking up 16 kills. Pogue got some help from Tayleigh Cowin and her 36 assists. Finally, Nova O'Dell kept Ellington's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Ellington's win bumped their record up to 24-3-1. As for South Iron, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Ellington will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Iron, they are taking a road trip to challenge Bunker at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
