Palmview is 8-2 against Roma since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Palmview Lobos will face off against the Roma Gladiators at 7:30 p.m. Palmview will be strutting in after a victory while Roma will be coming in after a defeat.

Palmview took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Mission Veterans Memorial as Palmview made off with a 66-43 win. Given the Lobos' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 583rd, while the Patriots are ranked 1211th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Palmview's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jose L Gonzalez led the charge by going 8 of 16 on his way to 20 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Juan Dominguez, who made all 7 shots he took to post 15 points.

Palmview was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, Roma came up short against Mission on Wednesday and fell 58-48.

Palmview pushed their record up to 20-13 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Roma, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Palmview against Roma in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 72-27 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Palmview since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
