Sidney dropped down to 5-6 on Wednesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 9-2 to the Binghamton Patriots. The Sabers were not able to make up for their loss to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.
Sidney saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Wright, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one double.
As for Binghamton, their win bumped their record up to 6-9. They not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 27th (when they won 10-0).
On Binghamton's side, Moises Delosanto spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Finn Newton-McManus was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Isiah Ragsdale also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.
Looking ahead, Sidney will be playing in front of their home fans against Delaware Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Binghamton, they will head out on the road to face off against Seton Catholic Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
