Soccer Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

If Centennial was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Willow Canyon last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Coyotes came up short against the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs on Tuesday, falling 7-2. The loss continues a trend for Centennial in their meetings with Sunrise Mountain: they've now lost three in a row.

Adrian Padilla and Bryan Nguyen scored both of Centennial's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Sunrise Mountain, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centennial will challenge Red Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sunrise Mountain, they will take on Desert Edge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
