Football Recap: Manteno Takes a Loss

Manteno fell victim to Coal City and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Coalers 55-0. The Panthers have struggled against the Coalers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Manteno's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Coal City, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manteno will venture away from home to take on Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Coal City, they will head out to face off against Peotone at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
