Baseball Recap: West Greene Comes Up Short

West Greene was the 11-4 winner over Gatlinburg-Pittman when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Buffaloes fell just short of the Highlanders by a score of 4-3 on Friday.

West Greene has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Gatlinburg-Pittman, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Greene will face off against Johnson County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Longhorns' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Buffaloes' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Gatlinburg-Pittman, they will challenge Washburn at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
