Mountain View was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They skirted past the Archer Tigers 2-1. The victory was all the more spectacular given Mountain View's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Archer are ranked 34th).

The win got Mountain View back to even at 6-6. As for Archer, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mountain View will venture away from home to take on Oconee County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oconee County will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Mountain View surely won't give up without a fight. As for Archer, they are taking a road trip to challenge Newton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Archer will be up against Newton's rather soft defense (which has allowed five goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
