Soccer Recap: Heath Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Heath unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Licking Heights Hornets by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Heath couldn't quite close it out.

Licking Heights has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heath will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on September 8. As for Licking Heights, they will face off against Teays Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
