Choctaw came tearing into Thursday's contest with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Westmoore Jaguars. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Yellowjackets have posted since April 18th.

Choctaw pushed their record up to 26-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Westmoore, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-14 record this season.
