Basketball Game Preview: Seton Hall Prep Pirates vs. East Orange Campus Jaguars

The Seton Hall Prep Pirates will square off against the East Orange Campus Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

East Orange Campus is hoping to do what Payne Tech couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Seton Hall Prep's winning streak, which now stands at four games. Seton Hall Prep came out on top against Payne Tech by a score of 63-54. 63 seems to be a good number for the Pirates as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Seton Hall Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alex Ante led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. That's the most rebounds Ante has posted since back in January of 2024. Primo Delgado was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven assists.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, East Orange Campus' good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to Immaculate Conception.

Seton Hall Prep's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for East Orange Campus, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Seton Hall Prep didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against East Orange Campus in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 67-61 victory.
