Basketball Recap: Southwind Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Cordova came into Friday's match looking for another win against Southwind, but Camille Sanders wouldn't allow it. Everything went the Southwind Jaguars' way against the Cordova Wolves on Friday as the Southwind Jaguars made off with a 51-27 win thanks in part to Sanders, who almost dropped a triple-double on 19 points, nine boards, and 11 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Southwind's points.

Another player making a difference was Karlisa Mungen, who posted eight points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played.

Southwind's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-10. As for Cordova, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Southwind didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-46 defeat against Houston on the 21st. Cordova has also already played their next match, a 66-27 loss against Arlington on the 21st.
