Basketball Recap: Chanute Piles Up the Points Against Fort Scott

Chanute lost to Fort Scott back in March, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Chanute Blue Comets claimed a resounding 69-42 win over the Fort Scott Tigers. That's two games straight that the Blue Comets have won by exactly 27 points.

The victory got Chanute back to even at 2-2. As for Fort Scott, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chanute will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Labette County at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Fort Scott will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Frontenac on January 7, 2025. Fort Scott is facing Frontenac at the right time seeing as Frontenac is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
