Baseball Recap: Hermantown Takes a Loss

Hermantown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Thunderhawks this season, with their most recent defeat being a 4-1 loss last Tuesday.

Hermantown saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jimmy Bartsch, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Hermantown's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12-1. As for Grand Rapids, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Hermantown nor Grand Rapids have any future games scheduled.
