Football Game Preview: Claiborne vs. Oliver Springs

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Oliver Springs. On Friday they take on Claiborne at 7:30 PM. Oliver Springs will be looking to avenge the 10-12 loss they took the last time these two teams played.

Oliver Springs were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their matchup against Greenback last Friday. Oliver Springs came up short against Greenback, falling 18-28. Oliver Springs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Claiborne have to be hurting after a devastating 13-42 defeat at the hands of Unicoi County. Claiborne were down by 7-42 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Given their recent losses, both teams have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend.
