Baseball Recap: Ross Has No Trouble Against Springfield

Ross came out on top against Springfield on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Little Giants put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 10-1 win. For the Little Giants, this counts as revenge for the 8-3 victory the Blue Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Cade Reineck was excellent, going 3-for-4 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Zavior Esquivel was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Ross is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Springfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-13.

Ross will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blue Devils: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
