The Gustine Reds will head out to take on the Le Grand Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gustine is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Last Thursday, Gustine didn't have quite enough to beat Denair and fell 8-7.

Mike Saaranzin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Avery Ethridge also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Le Grand has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.79 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against Waterford, falling 10-0. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Le Grand's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Gustine, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5.

Gustine came out on top in a nail-biter against Le Grand when the teams last played back in March of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Will the Reds repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
