Volleyball Recap: Curry Has No Trouble Against Cordova

Curry not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 17, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They blew past the Cordova Blue Devils 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Yellowjackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Curry won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 25-21.

Cordova's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lexee King, who had 18 assists and two aces. King is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Lexi Woods was another key player, getting six kills and four blocks.

The victory made it two in a row for Curry and bumps their season record up to 9-3. As for Cordova, they moved to 5-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Curry will head out on the road to face off against Dora at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cordova, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Fairview on the 6th.
