Basketball Recap: Finian Hudgens' Big Game Can't Quite Lead San Francisco Waldorf over Marin Academy

While it was all tied up 13-13 at halftime, San Francisco Waldorf was not quite Marin Academy's equal in the second half on Thursday. They lost to the Marin Academy Wildcats at home by a 42-24 margin. The matchup marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Several Wolverines players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Finian Hudgens, who posted seven points.

San Francisco Waldorf dropped their record down to 3-3 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Marin Academy, they moved to 6-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Francisco Waldorf will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on South Fork at 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Marin Academy, they will challenge The Bay School at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
