Oakley extended their winning streak to 18 games thanks to a huge performance from Mary Carman. The Plainsmen came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Hill City Ringnecks for which the team can thank Carman, who had 23 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Oakley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 27-29, 25-20, 25-17.

Oakley's record is now 18-0. As for Hill City, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

After both having extra time off, Oakley and Thomas More Prep-Marian will shake off the rust and duke it out on Tuesday. As for Hill City, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Osborne on the 20th.
