Recap: Rutland Hurricanes vs. Southwest Patriots
The Rutland Hurricanes pushed their score all the way to 65 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 66-65 to Southwest. Rutland has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Rutland's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Xavier Taylor, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Taylor has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Keadon Knight, who scored 14 points.
Rutland's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Southwest, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.
