Recap: Rutland Hurricanes vs. Southwest Patriots

The Rutland Hurricanes pushed their score all the way to 65 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 66-65 to Southwest. Rutland has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rutland's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Xavier Taylor, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Taylor has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Keadon Knight, who scored 14 points.

Rutland's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Southwest, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.

Rutland and the Red Jackets will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Jordan is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Southwest, they and the Greenwave will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Spencer's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
