Softball Recap: Haddon Township Comes Up Short

Haddon Township was the 5-2 winner over Audubon when they last played one another back in June of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hawks fell just short of the Green Wave by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Hawks have lost by just one run.

Jordan Strauss put in work while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. That double was her first of the season.

Haddon Township's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-1. As for Audubon, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Haddon Township will square off against Paulsboro at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Audubon, they will face off against Webster Schroeder at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
