Football Recap: Sterling City Comes Up Short

Sterling City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 46-19 defeat at the hands of the Christoval Cougars. On the bright side, the 19- point performance marked the Eagles' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Sterling City's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Christoval, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Coming up, Sterling City will welcome Cross Plains at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Buffaloes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Christoval, they will venture away from home to take on Mason at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
