Lexington's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Wilson Warriors 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Golden Bears have posted against the Warriors since March 19, 2021.

Lawrence Corum tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Zane Kilburn, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Lard, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

The victory snapped Lexington's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 12-17 record. As for Wilson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lexington and Wilson will both be playing Red Bay the next time they take the field. The Golden Bears will head out to face the Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
