Volleyball Recap: Wando Extends Winning Streak to Four

Wando had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Porter-Gaud Cyclones. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cyclones, too.

Wando never let Porter-Gaud on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-18.

Wando was led to victory by Violet Poole and Lily Oscarsson. Poole had 14 digs and four assists, while Oscarsson had five digs and one assist. That's the most digs Poole has posted over her last nine contests. Taylor Norris also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Wando's record is now 6-4. As for Porter-Gaud, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4.

Wando has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Hedgesville on the 30th. As for Porter-Gaud, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Palmetto Christian Academy on the 30th.
