Basketball Recap: Northbrook Gets the Win

A well-balanced attack led Northbrook over Rudder in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. The Raiders came out on top against the Rangers by a score of 49-40. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 80-39 victory the Rangers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Northbrook can attribute much of their success to Brian Robinson, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 12 points and six rebounds. Bodhi Dugas was another key player, going 5-for-7 on his way to 14 points.

Northbrook was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Rudder's loss came despite strong showings from Rodrigo Salazar Gold and Brandon Auston. Salazar Gold shot 58% from the field en route to 16 points and four steals, while Auston posted six points and three blocks. Salazar Gold is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played dating back to last season.

The win got Northbrook back to even at 1-1. As for Rudder, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Northbrook wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 59-41 defeat against La Marque on the 20th. As for Rudder, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-41 loss against Jay on the 20th.
