Basketball Recap: Valley Christian Comes Up Short

Valley Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Columbiana Clippers and fell 78-13. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 789th, while the Clippers are ranked 218th).

Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Columbiana, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Christian will take on Leetonia at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Valley Christian is facing Leetonia at the right time seeing as Leetonia is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Columbiana has already played their next match (against United), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
