Cesar Chavez has gone a perfect 8-0 against South Mountain recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Champions will host the Jaguars at 3:45 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Cesar Chavez came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Tolleson, falling 18-2. The Champions have struggled against the Wolverines recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Mariah Flores made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.

Meanwhile, South Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 17-1 to Browne.

South Mountain saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexia Ramirez, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Cesar Chavez's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for South Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Cesar Chavez took their win against South Mountain in their previous matchup back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 22-0 score. Will the Champions repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
