Softball Recap: Westbrook Comes Up Short

Westbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 18-2 to the Winters Blizzards. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Bryleigh Larsen was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-1. Those stolen bases marked the first that she snagged this season. Katie Salazar was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

Westbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Winters, they moved to 3-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Westbrook didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-8 victory against Hamlin on the 1st. Winters will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ballinger at 5:00 p.m. on March 18th.
