Baseball Recap: Inderkum Find Success

On Wednesday, the Inderkum Tigers earned a 5-2 victory over the Cordova Lancers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Kian Hessabi spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Owen Inderkum, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-4. Boston Costley also deserves some recognition as he stole his first stolen base of the season.

Inderkum's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cordova, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Inderkum will venture away from home to challenge Christian Brothers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cordova, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Rio Americano at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
