Basketball Recap: Vanguard Academy Rembrandt Takes a Loss

Vanguard Academy Rembrandt was the 31-11 winner over Idea Academy when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vanguard Academy Rembrandt Spartans took a 35-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Idea Academy Titans on Friday. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cloe Bernal was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten steals for Idea Academy. Bernal has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 28 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brielle Neiro, who posted six points and four steals.

Vanguard Academy Rembrandt's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Idea Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.

Vanguard Academy Rembrandt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Idea Academy has already played their next match (against IDEA North Mission), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
