Basketball Game Preview: Valley Vikings vs. Faith Lutheran Crusaders

The Valley Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the Faith Lutheran Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Valley is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Sunrise Mountain, posting a 102-74 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Faith Lutheran won against Basic on Wednesday with 69 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. Faith Lutheran was the clear victor by a 69-48 margin over Bonanza. The win was nothing new for the Crusaders as they're now sitting on three straight.

Faith Lutheran pushed their record up to 14-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Valley, their win bumped their record up to 10-13.

Valley beat Faith Lutheran 63-55 in their previous matchup on January 9th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
