Softball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Kennedy took on West Park on Tuesday. The Cougars lost 12-2 to the Panthers. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Kira Griffin was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for West Park, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Kennedy will venture away from home to face off against Grant at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pacers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.75 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for West Park, they will welcome Cordova at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lancers have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
