There's no place like home for Grant County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They never let the Williamstown Demons get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Monday. Considering the Braves have won 13 matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Seth Tucker was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Grant County's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 12-13 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Alexander, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Grant County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April.
Grant County's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 15-13. As for Williamstown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grant County will challenge Carroll County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Williamstown, they will face off against Owen County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
