Baseball Recap: Lackey Comes Up Short

Lackey fell victim to La Plata and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 11-0. The Chargers haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Lackey's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for La Plata, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Lackey and La Plata could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings. The Chargers will face off against Eastern at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (136 vs. 7). Meanwhile, La Plata (ranked 48th) will meet Broadneck (ranked fifth) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
