After having lost a blowout in their previous game against ALA - West Foothills, Wickenburg was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Parker Broncs as the Wickenburg Wranglers made off with a 26-6 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Wranglers have posted against the Broncs since August 24, 2018.

Nick Formica had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 219 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in rushing yards.

Wickenburg's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Aidan Wayas. He is also on a roll when it comes to interceptions, as he's now snagged at least one in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Wickenburg got some further help from Jesse Pittman: he picked up two sacks, forced a fumble, and made ten total tackles (3.5 for loss).

Wickenburg now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Parker, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Wickenburg will challenge Lee Williams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Parker, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Arizona Lutheran Academy at 6:00 p.m. on September 19th.
