Preview: Yreka Miners vs. West Valley Eagles
Yreka is 1-7 against West Valley since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Yreka Miners will be playing at home against the West Valley Eagles at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.
Yreka might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 47-14 to University Prep, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Yreka was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-0.
Meanwhile, West Valley lost to Anderson on the road by a decisive 38-22 margin on Friday.
Yreka's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for West Valley, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7.
Yreka was dealt a bruising 56-0 loss at the hands of West Valley when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Will Yreka have more luck at home instead of on the road?
