Baseball Recap: Central East Takes a Loss

Central East's last matchup with Clovis East could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Wednesday. The Bengals lost 12-1 to the Timberwolves. The Bengals just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Central East saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Sorondo, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Eli Gaucin also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Central East's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Clovis East, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-8.

While Central East had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
